So I saw Aladdin: A Musical Spectacular last week (it's REALLY good!) and I noticed one thing that didn't seem quite right.

When they go for their magic carpet ride, why on Earth do they fly over the Eiffel Tower??? Unless Aladdin's actually set in the late 1800's, it reeeally doesn't fit with the pre-medieval time period of the Arabian Nights.

I get that the genie does anachronisms for humour, but this bits totally sincere! And I also get they're trying to show the romance, but the film sequence sticks with landmarks that would have been around at the time.

Maybe it's a time travelling carpet too XD

1. Eiffel Tower is apparently in existance at the same time as the Roman Acropolis and the Sphinx (with her nose still intact).

2. When Aladdin is going int othe Cave of Wonders, he had been led there by Jafar disguised as an old man. So why is the silhouette of Jafar in his Vizier robes?

3. Barbie Doll flying carpet. That's all I'm saying

There are a few more things that are off with the show, and that is why I personally avoid watching it.

"So why is the silhouette of Jafar in his Vizier robes?"

Oo! I noticed that but didn't quick click that it was an error.

For the show I saw, a little girl in front of me watched the magic carpet that flies above the audience 'dock' back at the top of the theatre. It doesn't fully hide, so when she saw the carpet on stage she went to her mom 'that's not the carpet. the carpets up there'. Whoops.

I still think it's a good show. I like these more ambitous stage shows at Disney - would have liked to the Snow White one over at Disneyland.

Don't quite understand what you mean by barbie doll flying carpet tho =P
