We would love to retire there, most likely in the Opelika/Auburn area. DH loves to golf and heard there's good golf there. I just want to live within a days drive of WDW. Glad to know there are DVCers around. Another plus for the place-no DVCers here!

War Eagle from the Plains. We're in Auburn (and my parents think it's a great place to retire, Simba's Mom! The drive to Orlando takes us 7 1/2 hours.).

I grew up in Mobile, and have lots of family still there. In fact, I'll be there this weekend. Then it's back home to D.C for a couple of days before heading to Orlando for the Food & Wine Festival.

We are just outside of Huntsville and joined DVC during our 3rd family trip to Disney in October of this year. I went to school at Auburn and grew up in Birmingham.

Well, even though my job has us in Mississippi (but we live on a paved road, have all our original teeth, etc.) home and heart are in Alabama. DW's a Montgomery girl, and I was born and raised in Elba, down in the SE part of the state, notorious for flooding periodically.
