Alabama DVCers? -- Got 15?

Hey! Did y'all get some snow? I'll post a photo in a bit.

OK if we have any northerners lurking, bear with us we get little excited when we get snow down here! We aren't used to seeing snow, beautiful women we are accustomed to, snow not so much.

Did I mention my church is on Snow Street?

A couple whose wedding I'm photographing in April were in church this a.m. so I snag a snow photo of them.

How does my house look all snowy?

My parents live in Dothan and they got some snow showers too. We live in MD and we are about to get hit with that mess but we are expected to get up to 10 inches. :scared1: Gosh I miss the south sometimes. :goodvibes

I got snowed in at my Dad's house!

(For a little while)

They got about 3" in Double Springs!

I left at noon, and made it to Montgomery about 3pm. Red Mountain looked like a ski slope.

Dh said we got between 1/2" and 1" here in Montgomery.

I loved everybody's photos.

I just woke up from a nap to see the snow all gone. That's the way I like it, come look pretty for awhile then go away!

Hey from Huntsville,
My DW and I just bought AKV. My DW and great friends dragged me to the world last September. I had never been before. I am now a Disney lover.
Our first trip as DVC members will be In May. We are using our SSR developer points and then as an added bonus, we added a night at Kidani. We will be heading to Vero Beach from there for two days ( to visit family that live there )
I thought that was a good excuse.:thumbsup2 We are looking forward to maybe meeting more DVC owners, we know two families already. Bob we hope you are able to put something together. Let me know and I will help.:woohoo: :woohoo:

Welcome fellow Huntsville DVC'er!!!!

Another DVC member from Huntsville here! My DH, Hazzard101, posted above. We bought in to AKV yesterday after several months of thinking it over. We're thrilled we did and can't wait for our first trip "home."

I'm afraid the snow didn't make it down to Baldwin County. Mom and Dad said they enjoyed watching the snow out the sunroom windows this morning in Montgomery, though.

I LOVED the snow. :worship: :cool1: :cloud9: :woohoo: I am a Floridian, just moved here a year and a half ago, so I had never seen snow before last year. But this was much more snow than last march. My husband and I stayed up all night waiting, and then watching the snow come down. (ds was across the way at my sisters house). It was SO amazing to watch it snow and see it start to pile up. One of my pictures made it on ABC 33/40 early in the morning!! Finally took a nap around 11am and when we woke up most of the snow was already gone. We still have some on our back deck since the sun doesn't hit there right now.

However, not knowing much about snow and ICE, I fell hard on the ice on our driveway yesterday morning while walking the dog! Boy, am I still sore!!!

Today is DW birthday, I won't tell you how old she is but it rhymes with nifty.

I planned a dinner party at home for her and while she knows who is coming she doesn't know the menu. I decided with tremendous help from family and our DVC traveling friends for us to have a the Hollerin' Canyon Cafe skillet. I am grilling chicken and smoke sausage and we are getting ribs from Dreamland, my DVC friends are making cream cheese mashed potatoes (ala Le Cellier), my mother is making either fresh creamed corn or homemade mac and cheese or both and My MIL is making baked beans. I have a lemon pie from Golden Rule, homemade cookies, Milo's tea and Bud Select. Weight Watchers will have to be Wait Watchers today!
