Al Jazeera, a terrorist organization?

Last evening on the O'Reilly Factor, O'Reilly talked about the role of Al Jazeera in terrorism. They have aired the tape of the Iraqi woman who has been kidnapped. They have aired all of the tapes. They have made the beheadings available and they seem to clearly have a role in insiting violence on the Middle Eastern street. If Al Jezeera didn't air these tapes, if the terrorists were denied their 15 minutes of televised control of the media, would these kidnappings be less effective? I think it would help. I think that it is time to consider O'Reilly's suggestion that any employees of Al Jazeera need to be escorted out of the USA and pressure needs to be exerted on the government of Qatar to shut them down. Instead of enabling them by obtaining and airing these hideous tapes, they could assist in the capture of the terrorists. Clearly, if they aren't part of the solution, they are part of the problem. In fact, I think that they are enablers for the terrorists.

Al Jazeera is, without question pro-Extremist Islam. What's scary to me is, I heard that Canada can't get Fox News on TV, but they CAN get Al Jazeera. What the heck is that all about???

A friend of mine just got back from a tour of duty in Iraq. He was based in Baqoubah - a very bad place.
One day early in his tour, there was an electrical short in his tank and it caught fire (he's a tank gunner.)
They jumped out and the tank burned. They lost all their stuff, but they were fine.
An Al Jazeera camera crew walked up and started doing a standup shot in front of the burned out tank. They were saying that it was hit by two RPGs and six Americans were killed.
My friend called home and only had about 25 seconds to say that he was fine, despite what we all might see on TV.

After that, one of his commanding officers said to keep Al Jazeera away.

To me, that incident illustrates that Al Jazeera is the enemy.

It is true that they will show clips from Al Jazeera but not Fox News.

The U.S. should treat Al Jazeera like the enemy for harboring terrorists.
