AKV with the in-laws

My husband and I are expecting a baby in September, and while on maternity leave, wanted to take his parents to WDW on our points. They've expressed an interested in AKV, and while we've stayed at many resorts, we have never stayed there before. We'd need a 2 bedroom because it will be DH and I, the new baby, and his parents.

We don't know if we should stay at JH or KV. We will be getting groceries either way, so restaurants aren't incredibly important to us. Most important is our ability to get around well and show off our love of Disney to them, and to have a fantastic savannah view.

If anyone could suggest what they would do in our situation, I would be very thankful!

We loved Kidani!! The extra bathroom is a bonus as well as being in a new room. We were there back in August/Sept.

If you're getting a 2 bedroom for 4 people, I don't think you'll need the extra bathroom, so, I would go to Jambo.

I've stayed at both Jambo and Kidani in the past year and I would definitely recommend Kidani. The extra bathroom is an added plus but Kidani is so peaceful. Kidani is so much quieter than Jambo. If you're not worried about the need for quick service dining then I recommend Kidani.

I recommend Kidani because you can request a room on the 2nd or 3rd floors to be really close to the animals. At Jambo, the DVC Rooms are on the 5th & 6th floors which just seems too far away from the animals to me and takes away from some of the magic of experiencing them.

Also, we just stayed at Kidani and love the small feel of the resort compared to Jambo's large hotel-like feeling.
