AKV Value studio-dedicated vs. no mention

My original reservation confirmation said that I had a "dedicated studio value". Two weeks ago, I was able to add one night and got a modified confirmation sheet. However, this one just says "studio value". Does this mean I am no longer getting a dedicated? It seems I remember something about the views of the dedicated value studios. Or is it just that sometime between the time of my original reservation and now, MS dropped the terminology "dedicated" on all the reservations and I'm over-analyzing this?

think someone reported that they did take off the dedicated - seems like some members who had dedicated on their reservations were given lock off

so no more dedicated at least for AKV - or that is what being told.

That's very interesting. I have seen one other report where someone making a reservation was told that the "dedicated studio" is no longer a separate booking category.

The reason it is significant is that all of the dedicated Value studios face either the pool or the Sunset Savanna. So in the past, reserving that category guaranteed that you would avoid the parking lot view.

My reservation initially said "Ded Value Studio" and then when I added the DxDDP, I received a new confirmation that said "Value Studio". When we arrived, we were in a dedicated studio with a great savanna view.

I know that a lock-off 2BR (at Kidani) has to be requested. I booked a 2BR and then asked that they make a request for a lock-off since that is our preference. The CM said that the dedicated 2BR is the "default" for anyone's 2BR request unless they specifically ask for a lock-off. I wonder if they just book up the dedicated 2BR's first and then the lock-offs. That way, they can keep more of the 1BR and studios available. We would have been fine with either, but if we got the dedicated, our family of 4 would be in the second BR with my parents in the master. Since we are treating, I told my dad that they would have their own studio attached to our 1BR. Now, we get the master and the kids get the living room. They are not too upset as they are already fighting over who will get to sleep in the sleeper chair.
