Now that we are officially members and I have 200 points burning a whole in my pocket I'm trying to figure out what is best for us to do!!

We are looking to go either 1/2/10 - 1/9/10 or 1/9/10 - 1/16/10 or 12/5/09 - 12/12/10, all Adventure season and make our first DVC trip our first trip home to AKV!

We will need a 2 bedroom villa for our travel party because we will be 7 people.

I'm wondering how the value rooms work at AKV.

I'd love a savannah view, dedicated 2 bedroom at Kidani. Is that even a possible with value?

I'm trying to decide which is more important to us, the view and the dedicated 2 bedroom and kidani or the difference of 133 points!

Value rooms are smaller, and only in Jambo. There's a limited number of them, and they could be on the sunset savannah,or having the pool or parking lot view.

We've done value studios and a value 1 bedroom. I think the value studio was fine for 2 adults, and the value 1 bedroom was fine with 3 adults. Personally, I wouldn't want more than 5 adults in the combination of the 2 and that's what constitutes a value 2 bedroom. Recently there were pictures of the balcony of a value villa and it was also narrower than a standard balcony.

We've not stayed in a standard villa at AKV yet, but they might be a compromise. They aren't as small as the values, and do save points and you can get Kidani where the 1-2 bedrooms will have the extra bathroom in the living area. Also, in Kidani there are dedicated 2 bedrooms in both categories, so you will be able to get that second bedroom with 2 Q's. All of the two bedrooms in Jambo no matter what the category are lock offs.

Thank you so much! I think we'll end up doing a 2 bedroom Savanna view because I really want to stay at Kidani!

With your dates, you have early Dec which is extremely hard to get if you don't book at 11 months out. But you may still get it with Kidani still having rooms come on line.

With your Jan dates, again the early Jan date is still Christmas holiday and may be hard to get the first days of your stay. You second choice in Jan is Disney Marathon Weekend which is another very popular time to go.

Hope you get something you really want.
