AKV value- any chance at 7 month window

We are going to plan something for next year and are thinking SSR or AKV. Any chance of getting AKV value at 7 month window?

I managed to book a value studio at AKV at the 7 month window for this August, I couldn't book it for the whole stay though. I was hoping to book it for 17 nights but I only got the first 12 and then had to book 5 nights at OKW. My advice is to ring every day and book it day by day, also ask for a value that is not a dedicated value as there are less of these and so they are harder to get, if I had done that I prob would have gotten all 17 nights there.

Can you tell me the diff. between a dedicated and a lockoff? pros and cons?

I asked the CM and she said the only difference was that a dedicated doesn't have an ajoining door whereas the other ones do so that they can be rented as either a studio or as a 2 bed with the room next door.

Some people like the dedicated studios because you have a 50/50 chance of a savanna view and the worst you will get is a pool view.

I had no problem getting the AKV studio standard value at the 6 month window. We decided to add an additional day to the beginning of our trip and Saturday night points are high, so choose the cheapest. At 21 points for the middle of July, this was a great deal for us. I was surprised it was available for July at less than 7 months, but it was a Saturday, so that helped.

I booked a value studio for mother's day weekend last year about 6 weeks out.

Just start walking your ressie about a year ahead of time. If you have the desire to do so, the 7 month window means nada.

gotten in twice - pool view each time.

you want the dedicated not only because of not getting a park lot view - but the rooms is little enough as is - you don't want a door that you can't use to block up even more space.

I agree, these rooms are tiny. I made the mistake of trying to save a few points by staying at the value studio and we have an infant sleeping in a crib. There was no room before we set up the crib, imagine after. If it is just 2 of you I would stay there but any more than that and I'd opt for a bigger room. I'm not sure of the square footage but I felt like I had more room at CBR and POR.

We got an AKV value for last Sept at 4 months out. We also had a PnP set up and 3 adults. No issues with space. I didn't even notice the room was smaller until we moved to VWL and was like "hey this room is bigger than the one at AKV" We loved the resort and are going back in May.

ETA we had an awesome pool view and were the first room off the elevator.

We reserved 7 nights in an AKV 1-BR value at the 6 or 6 1/2 month window for Easter week!

So, if you do call right at the 7 month window, I think you should be able to get what you want.

I called at 7 months and 3 days (I own at AKV, though) and got a 1BR value for Su-We night in June. Then, about a month later, I found much better airfare if we flew in on Saturday night. I was able to get a value studio for Saturday night at about 6 months out. I know that we'll be packed in, but it's only for 1 night. We're using DME so I will just have bell services hold our luggage until the morning so we'll only have our carry-ons in the studio.

I just booked a 1 bedroom value for Sat August 1- Weds. August 5th. We are just over 6 months out.

There are a total of 10 1 bedroom values.

4 are Savanah view ,

4 are Pool View

and

2 are parking lot view.
