AKV Value 2 bedroom booking

This might be a stupid question but hopefully somebody knows the answer. Since I finally got access to book DVC this week I've been looking at the AKV 11 month window.

I've been able to find 1 bedroom value units almost every day this week, however I've never seen a 2 bedroom value and only a value studio once. If I want a 2 bedroom value would I have to book a 1 bedroom value and a studio value room separately? Or would I truly have to find and book a 2 bedroom value room?

There are not any 2 BR units at Jambo, all are lock-offs. Once the studios are gone you do not have the option of a 2BR. The value studios are normally gone by 8:01 am at the 11 month mark, good luck

They're there... we have one booked for Princess weekend in February, but I was definitely on at 8:00am at 11 months!

All lock offs will originally show availability as a studio, a 1 bedroom, and a 2 bedroom. If the studio or 1 bedroom get booked then the 2 bedroom is no longer available. If the 2 bedroom gets booked then all availability is gone. 1 bedroom units availability typically lasts the longest.

Got it Too bad the 1 bedroom values dont fit 5 people (Have 3 kiddos). Thanks for the clarification, now I know what to look for at AKV.

There are only 10 2BR lock-off Value units. There are also 8 dedicated Value studios. The 2BR is very difficult to get and should not be relied on as an option for point budget purposes.

We planned our point purchase on a 1 bedroom standard point setup. Just figured I'd look into the 2 bedroom values since they are only 6 points more for a week in June. Not a big sticking point but thought I'd ask since you all are seasoned DVC experts.

Yeah. The 2BR units are rough in the Value cat.

Value studios very often book full extremely fast at 11 months out (within seconds after 8 a.m. for any given start date). The result is that 2BRs are also gone within the same time since all 2BRs are lock-offs, i.e., at 11 months out, they do not hold any of the 2BR lock-offs to be reserved only as a 2BR. To have a chance for a studio or 2BR value you need to be online and set up to go in the reservation section at exactly 8 a.m. eastern at 11 months out. 1BRs tend to last longer, although on occassion, particularly during DVC's high demand season from late Sep to marathon weekend in Jan, those can also disappear very quickly at 8 a.m.
