Next week, we have an ADR at 7:30 at Ohana. We are wanting to go check out the Christmas Decorations at WL, Contemporary, and GF that night as well. I figured it would be good to arrive in the area around 5:45 as the sun was setting since everything is more beautiful at night with all the Christmas decorations lit up. We will have a car. Would it be best to park at the TTC, take the boat or monorail over to MK, boat to WL, back, then monorail to other resorts. Then walk to TTC to get car after our dinner reservation. Would this make the most sense?

Well since the advise to allow 1 1/2 hrs to get to a dinner reservation I would not plan to see decoration before your dinner. Right now they are training new employee's for both the boats and buses so there is a delay in waiting for those boats to arrive. We waited last week 25 mintues for the boat from WL to MK. Was told about all the new trainees they have by the captain. I would park at the TTC walk to the Poly and have dinner. Then see the decorations after dinner and make your way back to the car.

Plus all the decorations you will see are inside so night falls really is not a factor.

Oh and if your reservations are during the weekend they will not allow you to park at the Poly. On the weekends they restrict the parking to resort guest and the will scan you MB to verify. They will direct you to park at the TTC

Good to know about the trainees. I never really thought about touring during the day since the decorations will be inside. I guess I just figured that many of the resorts have windows and so the atmosphere would be darker and thus the lights would be brighter. We have a lunch ADR at WCC later that week. I guess it would be better to wait until then to tour WL? The night we have dinner at Ohana, we can arrive earlier than 5:45. I was just planning on touring at night, that's why I picked that time. That will be a travel day and we plan on doing 7:00 am AK EMH the next morning. I think we will be ready to sleep after Ohana. Guess I'll plan on arriving earlier, parking at TTC, using monorail to see Contemporary and Grand Floridian, then ending at Poly for dinner.
Thanks for the info!
