AKV Tapestry update

Just got a call from DVC rep. I had called them when they requested the founding members' names for the tapestry. The rep confirmed that we can put anything as the family name, as long as it fits within the 16 characters.

DVC will be sending us a confirmation letter sometimes in September, to verify the spelling of the name for the tapestry. The special gift for the founding members should come in January. The actual tapestry should be put up in the building in the fall of 2008.

You know, I usually defend DVC and Disney on almost everything, but they really blew it on this whole tapestry thing.
It started out as an awesome idea.. then it turned into a jazillion names on it, then mass confusion on the name thing, they don't answer the phone for questions, then AFTER the deadline passes they get back to people and say you can put anything with 16 letters??

I know it's not possible, but I wish they could scrap everything and start from scratch.
