Hi all - I was thinking about planning a quick 4 night getaway for DH & I to celebrate his B-day in May 2011.

If available, I was thinking about booking a Studio in AKV - what is the difference between a Value and Standard Studio ?

Is it just the view ? Are you looking at a parking lot ?

Seeing as this would be a 'quick hit' we are not looking for anything special just wondering what the difference is .... the point difference is only 3 ponts a night or 12 points total but we are just wondering being as we have never stayed at AKV - I think it would be a nice change of scenery.

thanks

The Values only exist in Jambo House are approx 3 feet shorter from the front door to the back wall than the other Villas in JH. The Values can have a savanna, pool or parking lot view.

The Standards in JH will all have a pool view. The Standards in Kidani Village can have a pool/garden or parking lot view.

The value rooms are smaller than all other rooms. They are about 3 feet shorter in length from the front door to the back wall. This means the room will be more cramped. For a studio, it's the perfect size for just 1-2 adults, or One adult and one kid. The 1 bedroom is perfect for 2 adults + 1-2 kids or 1 more adult. Any more than that number of people, and the room will start to feel small. Value rooms have a 40% chance of savanna view, 40% chance of a pool view, and 20% chance of a parking lot view. All value rooms are at Jambo house. Views can be requested, but are like all other requests...they aren't guaranteed.

Standard rooms are the normal villa size. If you book a standard view at Jambo house, you WILL have a view of the pool. If you book a standard view at Kidani, then you will probably have a parking lot view. But you may get a view of the pool.

For just you and your DH, a value studio would be the perfect cozy little getaway. Jambo house is wonderful, so much to do. The restaurants at Jambo are amazing. You'd have a chance at getting a savanna view. If not, the views of the animals are never far.
