AKV Studio Laundry ?

Hi All. I'm wondering if anyone knows there are DVC only laundry rooms in AKV that owners can use for free if we stay on points at a studio ? Thanks !

The laundry is on the fifth floor zebra trail just off the area that looks down into the lobby. You will need your key card to get in. It has 2 washers and 4 dryers. I had trouble finding it until someone on these boards gave me directions. If you are facing the lobby area then it is on the left side of the hall just before the end of it.

It's next to room 5408. As castleri said, it's right at the start of the Zebra Trail, just steps from the lobby.

Luckily I didn't need it at AKV, because I called and asked where it was and was told it was down on the second floor. I asked, DVC, are you sure, and was told yes. I'm putting this info in my notes!

all the dvc resorts have a free laundy mat

OKW and SSR - next to the swimming pools

VWL and BWV - first floor - not to far from the pool and gym

BCV - 4th floor - the only one I have tried

AKV - 5th floor - not a big sign - so you have to watch for it

just look for room number 5408 (as others have say) - it is the second door closer to the lobby from it.

DVC nows puts locks on the doors that only DVC keys can open - so the rest of the lodges can't come and use it for free.

OKW and SSR don't need this - as they are only DVC properties anyway.

Yes it is free although it does look as if you should put money in. The boxes of laundry soap and dryer sheets are $1 each unless some kind soul has left the rest of their bottle of detergent behind for others to use. Thank you to the person who left one the week of Sept 11.
