AKV still under construction 6/2009?

I thought it ALL opened in May. What part (and how many units) is open and what part is still under construction in June 2009? thanks, Elaine

I believe that only part of Kidani will be open in May. I think that the rest opens in September.

I made a reservation for June at Kidani last week and the cm mentioned that there may be construction noise (I'm sure she was reading it off her screen).

From what has been said before, it appears the south wing and a portion of the north wing will be open by June along with lobby, restaurant, store, pool and recreation area and that remaining work will be on rooms (essentially internal work) in the upper 1/2 to 2/3 of the northern wing and the new savanna that will be located on the north side of the building, which are scheduled to open Sep 1.

I just made a reservation for a studio and 2 bedroom with SV in Kidani Village. The CM didn't warn me about any noise though. We are traveling the last week of June through July 6th.

Hey, maybe we will see you there. We will be at Kidani from June 28 to July 6th also. They didn't mention anything about noise to me either, but as someone else said, they expect that by then it will be the final units the furthest from Jambo House, and be mostly inside work by that point. Everything else is supposed to be finished.

It's for sister and she has never even seen AKL--so I made it for JAmbo--since all Standard views appear to be of the pools area--which she will love. And that way, no worries whether construction or not. Plus, she is close to lobby area--which will be a big WOW for her. thanks, Elaine

We arrive on the 28th too! We just did an add-on at AKL so we have never stayed there before...we're super excited!!

Can't wait!!! Called MS a little while ago to add on the rest of my incentive points to the beginning of the trip!!!!! - Boy am I spoiled!!!!!

We arrive on the 28th too! We just did an add-on at AKL so we have never stayed there before...we're super excited!!

This will be our first stay at our home resort also. We did take a visit this past summer when we were there to eat at Boma, and then on the way home our final day we went by and took a little tour and got some pics. We are very excited to stay there for the first time too.

Just curious as we made a reservation for there in June as well. I've reserved a savannah view. I just wanted to make sure the savannah will be open. They did not make any mention of construction when I reserved.
