What is it exactly? I understand the value could be the front parking lot correct??

I definatly understand Savannah, just not sure about standard view.

By definition, Standard View is a view of a pool, garden or parking lot. This will be the case for the Standard View rooms in Kidani. Jambo House is a bit different because it also has Value villas and, as it turns out, the only rooms with views of the parking lot will be from some of the Value rooms. There are no garden views that I'm aware of at Jambo, so that means in Jambo House, the Standard View villas will have a view of the pool area.

By the way the view from a Value villa could be the Sunset Savanna, the pool or the parking lot. I don't think there will be many parking lot view rooms but we're still waiting to see exactly how many there will be. The Values are fewer points because they are smaller rooms and accommodate fewer people (4 in a 1BR instead of 5, 8 in a 2BR instead of 9).

It would be nice if DVC provided color coded resort maps the indicated how villas are classified by "view". Now that I think of it WDW could do that for all of the resorts!

It's especially confusing at AKV's Jambo House because the villas there are sorted by three different criteria: size (the Value rooms), view (the Savanna View and Standard View rooms) and service level (the Club/Concierge rooms).

This may have been asked and answered previously but will guests be allowed to guarantee either Jambo House or Kidani when bookings are made? Just wondering if this will be the case or if you just have to take your chances.

Yes. The different buildings will be different reservable rooms categories.

IN just a couple weeks, I will be making our first AKV reservation at 11 mos. WE are looking at a value 1 br. I will let everyone know what view we get.

One CM at MS told me that once AKV was fully functional, there would be 25 booking categories, and each has a number, they do not use names like standard or savannah view. I told her there should probably be AKV specialists!

Jambo House
4 views x 4 villa types (2bdrm, 1bdrm, st, ded st) = 16 + GV = 17 in Jambo minus 1 for no ded studio in concierge = 16 in Jambo

Kidani Village

2 views x 4villa types(ded 2bdrm, lockoff 2 bdrm, 1bdrm, st)= 8 + GV = 9 in Kidani

Total of 26! 25!

So be kind to those CM at MS. That's a lot of different rooms!

ETA: It should be 25. I see where I have one too many. Concerge will not have any ded studios, so one less in Jambo.
