AKV Standard Studio in Jambo House - views?

I just used the room finder on Touring Plans for AKL. Based on the locations of the rooms, it appears that all the standard studios in Jambo House would have either a savannah view or pool view. Is this accurate? If it is accurate, what is the benefit of paying more for a savannah studio other than you're guaranteed to not get pool view? Thanks!

the standard "savanna views" were reclassified out of "savanna view" because the view is obstructed and people complained. it's a good deal for standard view points but apparently not as good as the "real thing."

as in all things, i'm sure opinions vary...

we stayed three times in a Jambo standard and got pool view all 3 times.

Most are pool view, a small number are converted savanna views. Don't know if it can be made for standard view but a request that might work to get a savanna view is to ask for a room along Kudo Trail (west side of the building) which has some of those converted savanna views; all the pool views are along the Zebra Trail (east) side of the building.

I am one of those that pretty much detest the reclassified savannah rooms. Twice I have been in the absolutely last room on the north bead and I personally find them to be lousy savannah views - which is why they were reclassified. I loved when it was a guaranteed pool view room. Now I won't even go standard view there anymore - that is how much I hate getting one of those rooms. Last summer we had a value studio which for some reason was taken out of service [supposedly] right before we got there and they stuck me in one of those horrible reclassified rooms. They tried to act like I was so lucky because I was 'upgraded' to a deluxe savannah view room. I knew better and complained; I'm talking the all concrete view with a people pen right below me and stuck in the corner with no view of animals. They were booked but the next day they moved us over to a somewhat better reclassified savannah room.

Do we know this for sure because once they reclassified those rooms I never had a pool view again. And I'm talking like 10 trips after that.
