akv or ssr

witch one is better and why
know im gona get dubbel incentive points but what one would be better?

I would love to hear peoples opinions on this as well.
I want to add on at one and I am not sure where!!

AKL looks amazing!!! Love the theme
But Saratoga is cheaper (even the dues) and looks very pretty!

I wonder what kids would like better? The animals probably??

When I joined DVC, I faced the same question. The final decision must be made by you, and will be based upon what you like or dislike.

I love the AKL, especially the theming, the animals, and the restuarants (Jiko and Boma). SSR is a very nice resort, but was a bit too plain for me. Other folks love SSR and prefer it over AKV.

Have you visited both? I would suggest you do so if possible.

no i havent been to any, but i love animals and wanted to stay at akl but couldnt due to money.

But i just saw something on ssr on dvr (i recorded) and it was talking about how it was based after horse raceing stuff. (my soon be husbend relly likes thast type stuff)

I know what ever i buy this year that next ill add on the other

how much more are the dues of akv..then the ssr?/

It really depends on your tastes. We just returned from SSR (our home) and visited Jiko at AKL for dinner and the AKV preview rooms while at SSR. From our opinion we like SSR for a long term "home away from home" visit with the beautiful sprawling grounds, endless walking paths and simplistic elegance. It has a community feeling to it.

AKL/AKV is very impressive from the theming aspect and would fit our taste more for a long weekend. The decor is a little too dark for me. DH didn't seem to mind it though. I just kept thinking I wouldn't like it for very long stints. So, if we do add-on at AKV, it would be a small contract. However, we decided that since it will be a fairly large resort we may wait for 7 month opportunities.

Again, it really depends on your personal taste. There are a number of other pluses and minuses to consider for both places, however, that is our overall opinion of the resorts' "feel." Both resorts are unique entities and all roads lead to Disney no matter which one you choose!

ty i think i will chose akv in less my dh wants ssr, pluse with ssr we would get the 160 points from 2006,+160 for 2007+320 to need to be spent in 7months.

can you bank any of those 320 points for next year? I assume we'd have to use the 2006 - 160 in 7 months but what about the other
