Does anyone know if I can use an air mattress in order to have my family of 10 people stay in a two bedroom??? Is this doable? I have 6 adults and 4 children over the age of 5. We are trying to reduce cost of having to get a grand villa. Thanks for your help. Please go easy on me...I am new to this website.

I think the 2 bedrooms are good to occupy 8-9 people. I don't know if they'd actually allow occupancy of 10. Disney rules aside, I'm sure it could be done as there is room for a small air mattress.

Can you split into two one bedrrooms instead? The one bedrooms at AKV officially hold 5 people so you would be within the rules (and comfort) with two of them. I would NEVER try to put 10 people in a two bedroom. We had 7 at AKV in December and that was okay, 8 would have worked with the sleeper sofa instead of the sleeper chair. But 10 would have been crowded (and against the rules).

Unfortunately, your group is too large for a two bedroom villa at AKV. They did add the sleeper chair in the living room to provide a bed for the ninth person. But, ten is too many. You'll need to get an additional studio if you don't want the GV.

And even though they do allow nine in a two bedroom, that would be just too crowded for me. I thought three adults and one junior were too many for a SSR one bedroom.

Besides being against the rules and totally too many people to fit comfortablly, you need to think of some other consequences of this plan. If you try to "sneak" an extra person in who is not on the reservation, you will be very unhappy when you try to do some of the extra benefits that come with on-site accommodations. For example, only those with room keys displaying their names will be allowed to take part in the morning and evening extra magic hours. And YES, each of the children will also have their name on a key since those "perks" are tied to that "key to the world". I'm just pointing out that trying to cheat the system will ultimately cheat yourself as well. Besides, I don't want to pay the extra maintenance over crowding a room might lead to.

I think they were only trying to ask a question, not cheat the system. Obviously they didn't know the rules which they stated in there post. Just my thoughts.

As others have stated, what you want to do is over the occupancy limits for the room. All occupancy discussions are limited to this thread, where you may continue the thread, if you wish.
