AKV - Rooms with doors facing the lobby?

Hi,

We will be staying at AKV in a couple of months. The last time I was there was 6 years ago.

Does anyone know if there are AKV rooms with the doors facing the lobby (so once you walk out, you see the front lobby)? I remembered seeing them, but may have been mistaken.

If so, has anyone stayed there and found it to be loud?

Just returned from one of these rooms (5026). We faced the Sunset Savanna, which was not my choice but was okay (only problem was that we faced the Kidani construction--no noise from inside room but not extraordinarily pretty to view). The lobby was loud at times, but we heard hardly any noise inside our room when the door was closed.

Room 5401...it's a studio....the first room off the elevator & directly faces the lobby.
We were there Dec.20-26 & it was awesome to open our door & be face-to-face with the gigantic Christmas tree.

Our view from the balcony was a full view of the pool.

We did not hear ANY noise coming thru our door, & believe me...during Christmas week, there was A LOT of activity in the lobby.

**No construction was visible from our room...we actually had to take a walk one day just to see where construction is.

6th floor around the balcony is the concierge rooms, 5th floor regular rooms; one side has a savanna view, the other pool. Absent some extremely loud noise, rare, you really don't hear anything in the rooms from the lobby when door is closed.
