AKV Room Question

Thinking about staying at the AKV but there is something I don't understand about one of the rooms listed.What is the Killimanjaro Club Concierge? Is it just a special view from the room,is the room better than others,do they give you something? HELP!

Killimanjaro Club Concierge: (Jambo House only). These rooms offer Concierge services and either a Savanna or Standard View (pool view). Only 5 Concierge units exist; they are all 2-BR lockoffs, for a maximum of 10 rooms if broken up into 1-BR and Studios. Unlike all other DVC accommodations, these rooms get daily housekeeping service and evening turndown with chocolates.

With Concierge, you get:

• Advanced Walt Disney World itinerary planning service
• Personalized front desk and Concierge service
• Daily housekeeping service and evening turndown with chocolates
• Secured key access to 6th floor and Club Level lounge
• Weekday newspaper delivery of USA Today
• Assistance with special events planning and shopping
• Club Level Lounge refreshments
• Access to the Sunrise Safari at AK and Sunset Safari at AKL

Now I want it even MORE for my trip in May 09!! I am hoping to get a studio concierge level and AKV is my home resort. I will be calling at exactly the 11 month window day by day I guess.

Ok, please help me get this straight. Concierge is going to only be in Jambo house? I was really hoping to go summer of 09 and stay in Kidani village at the concierge level. So by what your saying thats not going to happen. There is not going to be concierge in the village?

That's the scoop right now. No Concierge in Kidani only the sixth floor at Jambo House.

It also important to know that concierge level does NOT guarantee a Savanna room. This wasn't made clear to me the first time I booked a ressie. I have since verified this with 2 separate people at MS.

That's right. Three two bedroom lockoffs are on the savanna side. Two two bedroom lockoffs are on the pool side.

How many 2 bedrooms are there in Jambo house? What is a standard view?

I believe there will be a total of 82 2BR lockoffs. That means if all lockoffs were used as 2 BR there would be 82 rooms. If any of those are split into 1BR and studio you would subtract 2 from that 82 total. 82 includes all categories - value, concierge, and standard.
