I'm assuming the cushions on the pull-out sofas are removable? Am I correct? Usually we pack a twin size mattress and my boys take turns sleeping on it since they don't like sleeping together. I was thinking if the cushions are removable we could just make up a bed on the floor. I really want to pack less this trip.

Yes, they are. They're quite fluffy for a child to sleep on as well. So you can pile them on the floor for your son.

We just got back from Kidani Village on Saturday. Our studio pull out couch had removable cushions. They seemed like they would make a decent bed for a child.

When we stayed there in August, we removed the cushions but did not pull out the sofa. DS slept on the cushions, and DD slept on the sofa mattress, which was still folded inside the sofa but very comfortable. It made it really easy to put it back together in the morning, and both slept very well.

That's a great idea for people with small children!! Unfortunately my boys are almost 15 and 13 1/2 and very tall. My DH is almost 6 foot 4 so they take after him with their height. So we definitely will need to pull out the sofa. But hopefully others with young children will use your idea because it's a great one.

For teens/adults of that height, I don't see either the cushions on the floor nor the non-pulled out sofa being very comfortable.

My kids aren't 6 foot 4 yet. I was just saying for their age they are fairly tall. More like 5'4 and 5'9. I think if I bring a set of twin sheets and put the cushions together they'll be fine. They are use to sleeping on an air matress and they aren't very big either or comfortable. I'm going to show them pics from Allears.net and give them the option to bring the air matress. I'd prefer not to pack it though.

One can have the pull out sofa and one can sleep on the sleeper chair. My boys LOVED that they did not have to sleep together on our last trip.

Oh I so wish we had a 1 bedroom but we only have a Savannah studio booked. We rented points from a DVC owner and the difference between the studio and 1 bedroom was just too pricey!
