My YB would be so happy if we had a room with a Girraffe actually that close to the porch. She really loves Critters.

Lovely! Looks much like I expected given the decor of the AKL. I think it's going to be very dark though, and that was always my complaint when we stayed a the lodge too. Looks really upscale though, and is that really a LEATHER sofa?????

I wondered about that too so I checked the floor plan. The photo matches the floor plan exactly -- no additional cabinets. I wonder how they are going to fit all the dishes, glasses and cups in there. I don't think there is going to be any room for any groceries.

Based on the floor plans, it looks like the kitchen in the Jambo House 1BRs will have more storage space but not as much counter space.

OMG I love it! That TV unit is great and the dining area is fab too. The whole thing looks like all my favorite cool import stores rolled into one fabulous unit. I cannot wait to stay there! Thanks so much for posting these OP!

Oh I hope not, I found that to be so appealing. But then I have an extreme dislike for white appliances in a kitchen.

Those pics are great! I CANNOT WAIT to stay in a 1BR! Its looks awesome!

Though I wonder...how long will it take before that "leather" (?) sofa gets nasty? I know people are always complaining about how dirty the furniture is at numerous DVC resorts. How will the leather hold up? As you can guess we don't have leather furniture.

Leather is much more durable than fabric. Unless someone burns a hole in it or something. Much easier to wipe down and clean.

Unless someone sits down on it in a damp bathing suit or flings a wet towel over it. I wonder if they are real leather. If so, I can see them having to replace the whole couches very frequently, since leather is not easy to repair.

My biggest concern is actually how durable and water/stain/scratch resistant these furnishings will be. The carpet design is going to be good for covering small stains, but the red couch has no pattern at all and is a lighter shade of red that your eye is drawn to as soon as you enter the room - so unless it is very easy to clean and does not attract water marks from wet behinds, it's going to look dirty fast. I would already be worried about MF because of the savanna, but the room decor would also make me nervous with such a large DVC resort. That's alot of red couches and white mosquito netting to replace every year if they don't hold up to constant use.

I love the bathroom and kitchen, and love the exotic, world look of the furniture - but the fake log/wood exterior details (under the bar and on the vanity/fridge cabinet in the studio) are strange to me, and what's up with the studio shower curtain?

Are my eyes deceiving me or is that a roll-in shower behind the bath tub (left of the sink)? I'm looking at the floor and not seeing any step down, but I can see the drain and what looks like a shelf/seat.
