AKV--Kidani vs Jambo

I have been looking around at different pictures of the DVC rooms at AKV. One of the pics I saw for a one bedroom in Jambo looked like it had a regular type bathroom. Whereas the bathroom in Kidani looked liked the DVC room setups we saw when we did the DVC tour--Large bathtub, separate shower--really big bathroom. What can you tel me? Also, if I choose concierge, does that change anything as far as room layout of a one bedroom? Thanks!

Jambo's DVC rooms are all converted from hotel rooms, and they do not have the elaborate bathrooms that you have in Kidani. 1 bedrooms in Jambo only have 1 bathroom, whereas 1 bedrooms in Kidani have the 2 full baths, and one is that set up that you describe. In Jambo, the whirlpool is a bathtub, shower unit.

This is true for the concierge 1 bedrooms as well. To make things muddier, there is a 1 bedroom concierge (out of only 5 1 bedroom units) that is HA and it doesn't have the whirlpool jacuzzi tup at all. People have complained about getting that room because they expected to have the tub.

Thank you so much for the info. Are there concierge rooms in both Jambo and Kidani or just one of them? When I book, can I request NOT to get a HA room?

The concierge rooms are only in Jambo House, and they do tend to go fairly quickly at the 11 month mark from what I 've read!

So if you want a one bedroom with the nice bathroom, you can't get concierge--is that right?

That is correct, if you want the 1-bedroom with the big separate jet tub and shower you have to book it in Kidani (no concierge there)

We've stayed at both. To me, the bathroom (or only one bathroom) is the biggest difference.

Both have the pull out chair in the living room, which is also nice. My DD always "calls" it, and it's nice to have separate sleeping arrangements for my son/daughter! (Only BLT has the pull out chairs also)

The bathroom is a difference in another way because at Jambo it isn't connected directly to the bedroom. You cross the hallway to it. We didn't mind the set up at all but many like the more normal setup of having it connect.
