AKV Kidani - More availability this summer?

We are currently booked for a few days at Jambo House but after seeing how beautiful Kidani looks, I put in a waitlist for a 1 BR standard view for late August.
Either way, we will be enjoying AKV this summer so I am thrilled and the kids loved seeing the pics of the water play area.

I was just curious how it works with them declaring more units, does this also mean more rooms available for booking, thus better chances of my waitlist matching?

Maybe while we are down there, I could talk my DH into an AKV add-on to go with our BWV and VWL contracts. A girl can dream, right?

Jambo standard view are only of the pool.

Kidani standard - are the driveway, garden, pool or maybe US 192 - unless they put up something. Now some people say parking lot - but really believe most guests will pick the parking lot underneath the lodge.

when DVD puts more rooms in DVC then yes your chances are better of getting what you want.

a 1-bedroom is definitely better at Kidani - it has 2 bathrooms not just one. and the master bath is separate shower and bath - at Jambo it is just a combination.

Late August/early September have traditionally been slower times since most schools are already back in session by then. I would think the availability during that time period would improve naturally without any new inventory having to be declared.

Thanks. I hope you are right. I am happy either way though. We stayed at Jambo House last November and loved it, so it is all good. I know the kids will really love the water play area and being closer to that would be helpful. We have AP's that expire midway through our trip this year so we will finally have a chance to really relax and take in all that the resort has to offer. I just loved the pictures that I have seen of Kidani and hope we get a chance to move over there for the end of our August trip.
