AKV Jambo House Available Room Types/Views

I have been wondering what the availability of certain rooms will be at AKV.
With all of the different categories as well as the different types of views, it gets a bit confusing.

So, using the information contained in the AKV Ownership thread (mostly the great diagrams and descriptions provided by LisaS) and info from some other threads, I constructed the table below to try and keep it straight.

After I originally posted it on the AKV Ownership thread, it was suggested that I post it on its own thread for increased visibility.

Hopefully this will be of some use to those who, like me, are wondering what their chances might be of booking a specific type of room at AKV.

I just reserved a value view studio. From the way I read the chart, it looks like I've got a 1/5 chance (2 in 4+4+2) of getting a parking lot view. Is that right? Actually, this whole thing has been so confusing to me-trying to figure out the different views that my springtime solo trip is at AKV in a studio, 3 nights standard, 2 nights value, 2 nights savannah. I really want to see what kind of views and rooms they all are.

Thanks for the chart. I did check and unfortunately our December value studio is not dedicated...that would have been a nicer view, but now we'll see how our luck is at AKV! And it's only 1 night, the rest of our vacaton could be the dumpster view at VWL!

Excellent chart - we have two reservations at AKV, a std studio for next month and a dedicated studio for next May. Its great to know we shouldn`t get a parking lot view!

Actually, the odds might be even better. When are the two 2BR lockoffs with parking lot views scheduled for completion?

Your confirmation will state whether or not you have a dedicated studio. If you do (and assuming they honor it when you check in!) then you have a zero chance of getting a parking lot view. If your confirmation lists it as a studio (rather than a dedicated studio) then you have a 20% chance of a parking lot view.

All of the Value villas (parking lot view or not) are scheduled to open Dec 1st.

Hmm, I'll have to re-read my confirmation letter. I saw that the CM noted that we're celebrating a birthday, but never checked to see if it said "dedicated studio" or just "studio." Thanks for the tip, LisaS!

Yes, you're right.
For some dumb reason, I was calculating the "dedicated studio" as being the same as the studio portion of the 2 BR lock-off. Boy, I should have known better than that!

Maybe a silly question but I just reviewed my confirmation and it states this:

Vacation home type: Ded Studio Value Jambo

I'm assuming that Ded means dedicated?

that means that I have no chance of a parking lot view and a 50/50 chance of a savanna view (The sunset savanna will be open in late Jan right? Seems like I read somewhere that it was closed (no animals) due to construction).

I just got off the phone with MS and the gal I talked to said that only VALUE rooms are lockoff rooms. NO DED studios exist. What do I tell her????? It was rather annoying because I KNOW they do. I tried to tell her but she said she just got off the phone with the resort themselves and they say NO.

Jambo is scheduled to be completed Jan 29, 2008. Kidani is scheduled to open some time in 2009. Point charts are supposed to be the same for both buildings, however Kidani will have only Standard View and Savanna View rooms, no Value or Concierge rooms.
