AKV Jambo Add-on and Use Year

Hi! We are hoping to buy a 100 point AKV add on at Jambo house because we will get the '08 points (our use year is April therefore, if we bought at Kindani we would only get '09 points). There is nothing in inventory for an April UY and we've been on the waitlist for a week and there is no telling if something will ever open up for April. I would sit tight BUT we just extended our stay for our February trip and would like to use the SSR developer points and since it is Presidents week the longer I wait the less chance of availability.
My questions are:
How difficult would it be the get another UY month? Would it be a challange to manage two different use years when making reservations?
Since we have an April use year, should I try to get another use year close to that month or opposit the calendar? (We usually travel in February, April and December).
Any help would be appreciated!

Only your guide can tell you if there are any points left in the Jambo inventory for other use years. If you buy from Disney, they only sell you your same use year unless you buy an entirely new contract (and it sounds like you already know that). I do not know if they will allow you to buy 100 points (maybe that lesser amount is for new buyers only?) or if they will require you to buy 160 points. Either way, only a guide can tell which use year has anything left.

Would it be a challenge to manage two different use years when making reservations?

It does take extra attention. Banking deadlines are different. You will have to pay very close attention to which contract MS uses when you make a reservation.

Most importantly, points from two different contracts cannot be easily combined to pay for the same night. You will need to do a transfer and only one per year is allowed. It has been reported that MS is "forgiving" when the two contracts are owned by the same member, but they have not been consistent so you can't count on that.

A December use year would work well for your planned vacations, since the banking deadline is July 31.

I added on at AKV last week. I got Kidani and I did get 2008 pts. My UY is AUG, I was on a waiting list for 24 hours.

Do you know if you're at the top of the list or not? (Our guide was able to check with someone and get back to us with the information.) We have an April UY as well and got on the waitlist for 100 Jambo points on August 25th and it came through the 28th.

Lets say I have 200 Points at AKV master contract and then an add on at AKV for 200 points same use yr add on contract...will be considered 400points each use yr for "all intensive purposes", correct?

We split it up just for ease of "re-sale" purposes and transferability to 2 children in future..Just in case we wanted to sell one of the contracts..thought that 1 contract of 200 points would be an easier product to sell...

We did just that last week. Our original contract was 200 pts at AKV with a March UY. We just added on 200 pts (two 100 pt contracts) and got all the incentives ($1600 flexible credit, $1000 gift card, 200 developer pts at SSR). The add-on by default is the same UY.

The idea behind the 2 smaller contracts is that 100 pt contracts are easier to sell (and usually for a higher price) than larger contracts. We don't anticipate selling any but you never now, better safe than sorry.

O.K....pardon me if I sound a bit confused, but I didn't realize there were 2 different options i.e. Jambo House or Kidani Village. I just purchased yesterday, and my guide didn't mention which one we were purchasing or that there were 2 options...My use year is Dec., so this Dec. 1 we get our first points. Does it matter which one you buy?? If anyone could help clear this up that would be great.

you got Kidani, that is the current deal. It doesn't matter, your 11 month booking is the same..you own at AKV..the words Jambo and Kidani just descibr which building
