What are the differences between AKV Jambo and Kidani Village?

DVC converted the 5th (and 6th for Concierge) of Jambo. Kidani has rooms on all floors (I think 2-5, due to animals and under bldg parking no 1st floor - whic means Kidani may let you park under your room, near an elevator)
As a conversion, Jambo has slightly smaller rooms. Kidani 1BR has 2 bathrooms, Kidani 2BR has 3..
Jambo has 3 savannah's (2 unique to Jambo, Sunset Savannah is shared) . Kidani has 2 (including one unique to Kidani)
Jambo has 3 dining options (2 TS, Jiko and Boma (buffet) and a CS, Mara) Kidani only has TS Saana with no breakfast served in any form.
Kidani has a newer, more interactive pool area
Jambo has the really large lobby, Kidani is more intimate.
Value and Concierge rooms are only in Jambo. Standard and Savannah view rooms are available at both (I believe something like 70% of Kidani is Savannah?)
Standard rooms in Jambo are pool view only. Standard rooms in Kidani may be pool, parking or landscape view.

Personally, I think I'd use the dining at Jambo more than the other advantages of Kidani, but there are many valid reasons to go either way.

We are renting a car for this trip to AKV, there is parking under the building of Kidani Village? That's awesome

I have stayed in both and love both buildings, adding:

Kidani 1 & 2br units include an extra full bathroom and a sleeper chair to sleep a 5th person in the living room area.

Kidani offers self parking directly under the building in the garage area. (sorry - just saw you got this one)

The Sanna is in Kidani, Jiko and Boma are in Jambo.

The busses on the way to the parks stop at Kidani first and then pick up at Jambo (slightly easier to find seating if at a busy time) BTW - if you need a ride over to Kidani from Jambo, the DTD buses do the opposite route, picking up at Jambo first and then Kidani.

Kidani's lobby is much quieter than Jambo.
Jambo's lobby has a huge "wow" factor

Kidani has a wonderful library (quiet area, no books) and an activity center. I think Jambo has an activity center, but don't think it's quite the same (never been in)

That is correct.

A few other differences between Jambo and Kidani: the master bath in the 1BR/2BR in Jambo is across a small hallway from the bedroom so you cannot move between the bedroom and bathroom in privacy, Jambo's master bath has a combined whirlpool tub and shower, Kidani's has a separate tub and large glass shower stall and Jambo has an armoire in the master bedroom, Kidani has a closet located in the master bath.

It seemed to me that the dedicated 2 BR at Kidani was much larger than the lock off 2 BR at Jambo, especially the master bath and bath for the second bedroom. In the dedicated 2 BR, we loved that the balcony ran the entire length of the villa. In the lock off, of course, there is a separation between the studio and the 1 BR on the balcony. To me, it also seemed like a lot of wasted kitchen space at Jambo, where in Kidani they moved the kitchen in a little bit and the extra bathroom is off of the side at the entrance of the room.

All the value villas are in Jambo.
