So excited Just got AKV Concierge for Christmas next year... We will be there 12/25 - 1/2 and I got every night without any problem. What a Christmas present! Concierge for my husband and I and Santa with mickey mouse for the kids

can someone please tell me why they love concierge so much? I have just purchased AKV points and have not stayed there yet but I hear great things about concierge but don't know why. Is it really worth the extra points?

Great room location, concierge makes all of your dining reservations and activities, turn down service. They have a lounge where they serve breakfast (continental) in the AM snacks for lunch along with bear and wine throughout the day and appetizers in the evening from Boma along with cordials and desserts. They have juice, teas, coffee bar, throughout the day. You also are able to book the sunset safari at a reduced rate. I have never been there yet, but I hear it is definitly worth the extra points. I am so excited!!!!

I stayed in one last June. We mainly did it so that we could do the Sunrise Safari (only available for concierge). There is food in the lounge in the morning and evenings, plus drinks. You get daily housekeeping, turndown service.

I thought it was worth the extra points, now that they have raised the points for 2010, I will have to rethink it... which I am sure was their intention. I am getting ready to have my second stay. I will really savor it, since it just might be my last one. The view is not the best. The Savanna view rooms that I booked before DVC had better views. The lounge is really good. We did enjoy the food. We are not drinkers, but just to have the juices and lemonade was a treat. The water is not in individual bottles. No taking it to the parks. We had our case of water in our car.

We did both Safaris'. The sunrise was our favorite. We are doing it again.

And we were excited to book it for November for bf's birthday, I can't imagine having it for Christmas and New Years!
