AKV concierge- great service

I have stayed concierge at AKL before but only for one night at a time so I never used their services for making ADRs etc. On one of our trips next year (April) we are staying 5 nights concierge at AKV. I just emailed my list of restaurants and times that I wanted and Don (the concierge) made all the ADRS for me! He got the exact time I wanted for all of them except Le Cellier and he was within 10 minutes on that one. Wow. That was EASY!

I'd already booked Keys to the Kingdom and Epcot Segway tours on my own. Don sent me an itinerary of our trip which included not just the ADRs he made for me but also the tours that I'd booked myself (and the sunrise safari that Don booked for me.) I have to admit, his schedule looks a LOT nicer than the excel spreadsheet I normally do to track all of that information myself! I could get use to this service level...:love:
 
I just spoke to Don last week and he emailed my itinerary as well. It caertainly does look nice! I had already booked my ADR's but he scheduled us for the sunrise and sunset safaris. When are you going? We will be there 4/4 to 4/9.
 
We're doing the afternoon safari in December when we're there for just one night before a Disney cruise. I had the sunrise safari scheduled then, too, but I moved it from December to April. That way we can sleep in a bit before heading to the port this time (did the sunrise safari last Dec before the cruise, too.)

We'll be there April 16-21 so we're doing the sunrise on 4/20.
 
Fortunately concierge worked great for you. We are booked there for a few nights around NYE and they didn't make any of reservations as their was a "glitch" in their system. Had we known, we would have made them on the appropriate day on our own. We just thought heck use the service since we have it available.
 

Wow! I didn't know we could book so early. We'll be there the first week in April, our first time in concierge, we are very excited. Looks like I need to get to work!

Were they not able to get what you wanted after the fact? I bugged them to do mine right away so I could take advantage of the 180+10 days for staying on property. The only reservation I was having them make that I thought might be difficult to get was Le Cellier. We got that one for 6:40 pm which was close enough to the 6:30 pm that I requested. I wouldn't have wanted to wait a few more days though.
 
Don is great! He provided great personal service. We stayed AKL concierge once and at that time Disney changed around the EMH's after our PS's were made. That made our fought over CRT reservation on the wrong day. Don said he would try to get it switched but needed to wait until closer to our stay (~3weeks before) ...and he did! :banana: Not sure what the concierge magic was but it worked.
 
Hmmm, Don booked both safaris for us for March, but I haven't gotten any spread sheets from him! Do you think I should be worried?

Nope, I don't. I think I only got the letter (not a spreadsheet) from him now listing all the ADRs and other tours we're signed up for because I asked for it. There were quite a few ADRs (we do lunch and dinner every day) so it was a 2 page list!

You could always email and ask for a confirmation letter with your reservations numbers for the safari if you didn't get that already when he booked for you.

You probably need to worry about getting the reservation first. If you aren't an owner at AKV, it will be tough to get 7 nights concierge I think. Even if you ARE an owner that will be tough.

You don't tip the concierge staff, they are not supposed to recieve tips. If you feel they did a good job you could always put together a basket or something like that for them.

You can contact them now (by phone or e-mail) and list your requests. :thumbsup2
For our January trip, I had already made any of our ADRs, but I wanted the Sunrise Safari during DH's b'day week. Don came through for me, not just for sometime during that week, but for the actual day of DH's birthday. :yay: :yay:
The confirmation was sent to me via e-mail (although I had contacted CL by phone). :goodvibes
 
I sent a email 4 days ago to AKV concierge, I haven't heard anything yet. How long before you heard back? I would appreciate it if someone would send me the email they used, so I know that I used a current one. Thanks!

No, they couldn't get us anything we wanted. We sent them our requests about a week or two before the booking window opened about a week after the booking window had passed we e-mailed them and they responded with the info about the screw up. I guess we should have checked within a day or so but I just though hey it's concierge they'll take care of it. I would have thought that they would have been able to do something for us but they couldn't. The best they could have done was an 11:15 ressie at Le Cellier but we have a 3 yo and 6 yo with us. My sister tried talking to the manager at AK and also to DVC member services and had no luck.
