AKV Concierge cash vs DVC ressie

When booking club level rooms at AKV does cro or dvc get first priority when booking.

I would think DVC would get firt priority for DVC rooms. The rooms are not released for cash unless they are traded out or are developer inventory. I don't think concierge rooms would even make it past the 7th month mark, let alone to cash reservations.

Well it got me wondering because there is this thread in our Canadian forum.http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1859291

This person wants to book cro club level. Being that you can book a room a year in advance it kind of gives the advantage to the cro bookings. But then there is always a 11 month advantage for DVC always in the works and they overlap anyways. So to make a long story short do they actually hold rooms just for cro bookings?

The CRO rooms are not the same as the DVC rooms. The DVC rooms are on the 6th floor (there are 5 2 bedroom lock offs) and the CRO rooms are on the 4th floor. If you call CRO to book a concierge room it will be one of the rooms on the 4th floor.

Yes, but what if someone wanted a villa for their vacation?

I really have to hope that the rooms are not released until after we've had our chance...

FYI- I just tried to book it on line (not through DVC) and for May 17-20, 2009 it told me I was outside of my allowable booking dates. Phew!

I don't see any chance to get DVC AKV Concierge rooms for cash unless someone cancels their reservation and there isn't a waitlist for the room. These rooms will never be available to CRO for non-DVC cash reservations. If they were still available at 60 days out, they could be given to CRO to sell for cash. With the small number available, I don't see that happening.

Now, you might be able to get non-Concierge DVC villas at AKV for cash through CRO.

You can get a one bedroom or two bedroom suite (not a villa) through CRO available for AKL (not AKV) concierge.
