Thanks for the pixie dust! It's an extra long shot because it's over marathon weekend. But we'll see! If it doesn't come through, we'll just have to comfort ourselves with an awesome savannah view over at Kidani. I think I can deal with that.

Just wondering how lucky anyone has been scoring an AKV CL villa at 7 months? I'm looking into Oct 2012. Wonder if F&W will keep most of the focus on the Epcot resorts and give me more of a chance?

to the OP, when I called on the 11 month mark for next October at 5:20pm, I was told the Wed before Columbus day was booked. They told me they still had a couple 1BR left starting on Thursday. With that said, I called at 9am the next day and got it for 7 nights starting on the Thursday before Columbus day though Wednesday of Columbus Day. Definitely have a back up plan in case your waitlist doesn't come through.

Dang What times of the year have you tried?

I have tried with every reservation for the last few years, so that would be January, April, September, October, November, and December. I have thought about buying points just for the club level but my husband doesn't like AKL as much as I do. Good luck

We've stayed 3 x at the AKV in a Savanna view all 3x, so I hope we get a savanna view, but we know that we may or may not get one. My DD requested we stay here again, so we decided to go for it! Good luck and let us know how you make out with booking at 7 months out!

I think if you pay the savanah view points, you're guaranteed a savanah view? I sure hope that's the case.

I was able to get it at 7 month window. The way I did it was I filled out the online reservation at midnight, then I called 1 minute before DVC opened and I was able to get 5 days 1 bedroom.

I guess what I was trying to say is that I hope that we will get the savanna view while staying CL, as it can go either way, and you can't request the savanna view. I think I would be disappointed without a SV? The other views are pool views, right? Have you seen photos of the pool views? My chances look like slim to none but I'd love to see CL pool view pics.
