We are close to making a decision to buy at either AKV or BLT. We certainly want to experience both, but we're having trouble deciding which one to buy at. At times, we would like to get a grand villa. Where will we have more trouble booking a grand villa at 7 months?

Thanks.

Most resorts it's hard to get a GV at seven months out. So if you want that GV, buy at the resort that has the GV you want. You might be able to get the Fri and Sat nights or a few nights here and there, but seven nights in a row is tough.

BWV is probably the hardest to get because they only have seven GV.

There are 22 GVs at AKV and 14 at BLT.

You get to make a resservation 11 months out at your home resort.

I rented points and got a GV at OKW, but at the 11 month....check the points...I believe BLT have 4 balconies, however it was double the points of OKW...the GV at AKL they have a pool room in the GV in Jambo house, which i would prefer over Kidadi...better pool at Jambo...smaller pool at both ... BLT and Kidadi..swam at both...no kiddie pool at either...just splash pads for the little ones

We own at AKV because we wanted to be around the animals for our kids. We booked a GV at Jambo at 9 months out for an entire week. We went between Sept 26-Oct.2 of this year. Now the time we went was not really a busy time. So we were able to get it for the whole week.

I think what you should do is look to see where you find yourself wanting to stay for years to come. Weigh which resort you like better then the other and what will work best for you and your family. No matter what you can always try to book a GV at your home resort and then try to switch once the 7 month mark comes up. That might be the best option.

I wish you luck. Picking a home resort is not an easy decision sometimes :).
