AKV Add-on - 2008 points MF ?

Hi All.

I am in the process of adding on AKV. I will be getting 2008 points as part of my deal since I have an October UY.

Will I have to pay maintenance fees on these points or are the fees waived?

You'll pay the fees for just Oct-Dec for 2008, I think. I don't actually remember, now that I've typed that answer.

You pay a pro rate share of the maintenance fees for 2009 from date of sale. Not any before then. For example if you buy July 1 (purchase date not closing date), that means you will have to pay 6 months (or half) of the 2009 dues.

Dues go by calendar year, not use year. As drusba said, you will have to pay a pro-rata of 2009. So if the annual is $500, you will pay ~$250.

Hi - Can I just check, I closed on a contract at AKV this week and I thought that I would then pay the annual dues for my 2008 points. I have looked on Dvcmember.com and nothing is showing. Any ideas when I will be paying the 2008 dues?

really thats great!! So if I have bought 100 points at both AKV & BLT does that mean I won't pay any dues until Jan??? And then do I just pay a full year or a year and a bit more?? (my UY is Dec if that makes any difference)

See post number 3 above. UY doesn't matter for annual dues.

You will owe pro-rated dues for calendar year 2009 based on the later of: your purchase date, the start of your initial Use Year and the occupancy date of the Unit you purchased. If paying as a lump sum, the payment will be due about a month after the later of your closing date or the start of the pro-rated period.
