In an earlier post above I mentioned what led us to get a new camera - it's a Canon Powershot G10. We are quite happy with it, especially after we saw the pics from our trip.

Thanks for sharing this with us! We havnt even left yet for our 09 trip and we are already planning 2010. Being from MA. you would LOVE BEACH CLUB! Its our favorite and we own at AKL! Thanks for the tip too on flying out of NY.. that is one reason we dont go during april vacation.. airfare TOO HIGH! have to look into this NY Airport. thanks

Thanks so much for these wonderful pictures! I leave Sunday for Jambo house. I logged on to see of someone had pictures! I love the Pool. We have a reservation this Oct with the family. I can't wait for the Grands to have fun in the Pool.

The crowds looks nonexistance! I sure hope it's that way next week.

I love the part where you tell your DD that there is a website where all the people feel just like her. I can answer your questions about the WL. I stay there most of the time and have never had a problem with bugs. In addition, the boats usually come every 5-10 mins and usually two boats are in the rotation. Maybe one was in for repairs but I would think they would always have an extra boat floating around to pick up the slack.. If you like the theming at AKL you will like the WL theming as the same architect designed both. Thanks for taking the time to post a trip report.

Just finished reading your trip report. Sounds like you had a great trip. My favorite picture is on Dumbo. I just love the "action" shot of riding such a classic ride.

christa112 - we are also only 45 min. from Hartford. I'm curious, where do you typically fly out of? We are fortunate in that where we are located, we can get to 3 different airports within an hour - Bradley (CT), TF Green (RI) & Logan (MA).

Thank you for the feedback on WL. I'd never heard of any kind of a substantial wait for WL boats and was hoping it was an anomaly.

And we absolutely loved the theming and decor of the lodge - I had to pry DW out of the lobby gift shop before our funds were depleted!

We are likely going to try to stay there for part of our next trip. It is certainly at the top of my list for the next one to try, I just have to make sure DW & DD are onboard. Thus far we've only tried OKW & AKL.
