Can anyone tell me the difference (and/or post pics) of an AKV value 1-BR versus another 1-BR at one of the other resorts? I know that other 1-BRs slightly vary, but in general, they are pretty similar (except OKW). There are 4 of us, and I just want to make sure we won't regret the stay.

It's for our spring break (April 11 - 18), and I could have waitlisted a 1-BR standard/sv, but thought I'd take this reservation and get more information since they had all 7 nights. If there's not that much difference, I'll save the points and stay there happily!

Thanks, everyone! :thumbsup2

The value one bedrooms are only found in Jambo House. No sleeper chair in the living room, only the queen sized sleeper sofa. The values are smaller than the other one bedrooms at AKV, but you could have any type of view, parking lot, pool or savanna.

Jambo House one and two bedroom villas do not have the separate shower. The jacuzzi-like tub will have a shower in it.

According to info I've run across on these boards the value rooms are approx. 4 ft. shorter in length than the other rooms - which is why there isn't room for the single sleeper chair and I've heard it's tight in the Master bedroom compared to other DVC's. And there's the difference in the bathrooms.

There are 2 one bedrooms that face the parking lot and 4 each that face the pool or savanna.

From maps that have been done it looks like if you requested to be on the Zebra Trail and got that you would have a pool view. If you're on the Ostrich Trail then you'll have the Savanna or the parking lot view.

We had a value 1 bedroom for 3 adults in June. We faced the pool. The only area that I felt was tight was the master bedroom. It was tight to shut the door, and then it was tight between the sliding glass door and the bed. However, there was a lovely large balcony, and since I like balconies, that made up for any inconvenience I felt trying to close the bedroom door. Also, there is a hallway that connects the kitchen /living area to the bathroom, which was at the end of the hallway on the left, and the bedroom which was on the right at the end of the hallway. At the far wall end of the hallway was the washer/dryer.

The bathroom itself was large, the toilet bowl was in a room within the bathroom.

I liked this villa very much and would stay in one again with 3 adults, not 4 adults. Do you have children with you?

Thanks, everyone, for the replies! Sounds like a keeper. I think we'll go with it!

Bobbi, it will be my husband, me, our son (13) and daughter (6). Based on what everyone has said, I'm glad we had the opportunity to snag one for cheaper points. If we don't like it, we don't have to stay in one again!

I appreciate the feedback, and would love to see pics if anyone happens to have them.
