Has anyone stayed in a 1 Bedroom Value at AKV Jambo House? We are trying to save a few points on our upcoming trip. We have switched to Kidani the last two years at the 7 month window and loved the one bedrooms there.

Not sure how big a reduction it would be in size of room, but staying in the main lodge would not bother us, and it would save us 23 points.

Let me know your thoughts - thanks

Approx. square footage of AKV 1-Bedroom Villas:
Jambo House:
Value: 629 sq. ft.
Standard & Savanna View: 710 sq. ft.

Kidani Village:
All 1-Bedrooms: 807 sq. ft.

We stayed in a 1-BR value for the same reason, point saving. We got a savannah view, which was pretty cool. But the master bedroom is REALLY small. The door actually scraped against the bedframe every time we opened and closed it. It felt very cramped, especially since we had stayed in regular 1-BR at both Kidani and Jambo before, and they are so much larger. It was interesting to try out, but I personally would not do it again.

I've never stayed at any of the Vacation Club Villas, which resort is the best in your opinion?

There are plenty of posts that address that questions :) Everyone has their own opinions and taste. I can honestly say that each resort has its own feel and upside. It all comes down to you and your families feelings about what will provide you the best time in WDW.

The coolest part of DVC is having the opportunity to experience them all - and decide what you like the best. We do have our favorite(s), but I have not been disappointed with any stay we have had at WDW since joining DVC.

This info really helps.

I really love the Kidani 1 bedroom because of the 2nd bathroom and the size.

If you can forgo the 2nd bathroom and the size, then save the points. I do like being in Jambo House as there is more amenities there.

I think it depends on the number of people you will be trying to fit. There were just two of us in the unit when we stayed in a value 1 bedroom. We had a very nice savannah view. We loved it and the point savings was great.

I do not like any 1 bedrooms at Jambo because they do not have a separate bath and shower, but have 1 combo. I like a shower stall.

The Jambo 1BR is also not connected to the master bedroom (you cross the laundry hallway that is open to the living room. And there is only 1 vanity in Jambo 1BR. All of the older DVC 1BR at least have a 2nd vanity in the master bedroom/tub area.

The value villas are about three feet shorter in depth than the standard or savanna villas at Jambo House.
