Akron Canton Airport Airtran

Hi All, We leave for Disney Sunday morning and have always flown Continental out of Cleveland but this time going through Akron Canton and Airtran. We are driving from east of Cleveland (about 45 mins) east. Does anyone know if there is a website I can look at to see if there is any major construction that might delay us from arriving at the airport on time? Do you think an hour to park, get boarding passes, check our luggage and go through securiy with DD1 will be enough time? Thanks for any help!

ODOT has a website that you can check for construction. CAK is a much smaller airport than CLE and I know that many people only leave an hour to get parked and get to their gate, but I think an hour and a half is a much safer margin. Parking there is extremely easy and while they have a shuttle that will take you to the building, we always just walk. In my opinion, it is much faster...it just isn't that far. As for checking in, we have had it take 5 minutes and we have had it take 45 minutes. It really depends on the day and how many people are working the counter and how many people prepaid for their luggage and already have their boarding passes. Airttran almost always overbooks their flights, so there are plenty of people at check-in. Security for us has always been fairly quick...we have never had a backup at CAK. I understand that you don't want to wait that long with a one year old, but I am a cautious person who doesn't want to start her vacation stressed.
You will love CAK...we never go to CLE anymore.
