AKL WIFI

How is the WIFI in the AKL ? What about the room ? and in the common areas?
Usable for something like Skype?

It worked fine for me, but I just browsed the internet. ( in the room)

You'll find it adequate in most cases. It will likely be especially slow during the morning (before people head off to the parks) and evening hours (as they come back). That might make skype or other internet streaming apps unusable during those periods.

Just got back today after an 8 day stay. The in-room wi-fi was okay for checking emails. My DH tried to do a little work, but for that the connection was slow. I think someone down the hall was using it for skype. They were on their balcony when we were and I could here both parties talking. It seemed to work, I could hear them talking about the animals that were out!
