AKL which trail to request

My family and I are thinking about staying at AKL and my 2 daughters will love to look at the animals any ideas on which trail would be best to stay on for a 6 and 9 year old? Thanks for the help?

I suggest booking a savanna view room and requesting the Arusha Savanna view on either Kudu or Zebra Trails.

Remember that if you are unhappy with your view/room you can always ask to be relocated and they will oblige if there is availability.

Another vote for Arusha Savannah. I've stayed on both Kudu and Zebra and don't think it makes a difference. I'd also request a particular floor. The higher up you are, the wider angle your view.

Hi there!

I'm writing this from our room on the Zebra Trail on the second floor. We have 2 giraffes, 3 zebras, 3 ankole cattle, several wildebeests, and elands. We are about halfway down the zebra trail and I like being on the second floor because you're closer to the animals. My 16 month old likes them!

I haven't really looked at the other 2 savannahs too much. There were some smaller antelope that I saw beyond the pool yesterday -- I think they might have been Thompson's gazelles.

I'm sure your kids will love it here.

Another vote for the Zebra Trail. We were there last month on the 3rd floor and saw lots of animals outside our room. Have fun!

Yet another vote for Zebra Trail and here's why not only does it overlook Arusha Savannah it has easy access to the pool area, playground, restaurants, laundry, and kid's club!!

Yet another vote for the Arusha Savannah. I surprised my kids with where we were staying when we drove up to AKL, but they had said ahead of time if we stayed there they wanted to see Zebra and Giraffe. If I remember correctley, Arusha is the only Savannah with the Zebra, and my kids were thrilled!! Our first night, there were 6 zebra sleeping together not to far out from our balcony, it was magical
