Hi,

We're checking in to AKL this week for the first time. It's our 1st anniversary this weekend, and we noted that on our reservation. We're also getting a standard savannah view. Should we request a certain area - floor and/or trail- or just leave it up to Disney? I've looked on this site and All Ears, but am still not sure. We don't have to be close to the pool or anything.

Are the rooms quiet? Anything we shouldn't miss while we're there? What time is the best to watch the animals?

Thank you for any info. We're excited! :bounce:

We have stayed at the AKL five times since it opened in April of 2001. We truely love this resort. We have stayed in savanna view rooms three times and pool view rooms twice.

We have had a view of the Arusha Savanna twice and the Uzima Savanna once. Both savannas were great. I would suggest a room on the Zebra Trail as it is close to the pool area and food court.
