AKL-What is earliest check in time & when can I actually get into my room??

I have a quick question for all you AKL experts!! We arrive in exactly 2 weeks and get into Orlando at 11:30 am. I'm figuring we should get to AKL around 1:00 and was wondering if we will be able to check in at that time AND if we will be able to actually get into our room?? We will have a bunch of the kids backpacks and a couple carry ons and I really don't want to have to drag them around MK for the rest of the day! If we can't get into the room to drop that stuff off, is there a place at the hotel they will hold it? Thanks for all the help!!

You can check into your resort hotel as early as 7 AM, so you will be fine.
Your room may or may not be ready at 1 PM (Probably not). If it is not ready they will check you in, give you your Key to the World card which is your room key and your tickets, and a card with a number to call to check on your rooms availablity. Bell Services will store your backpacks and carryons and once you are in your room you just call down to them and they will deliver them right to your room.
So Check in when you arrive, store your carry ons and head out to the MK. You can call from the MK and come back to AKL once your room is available.

It really depends on if your room is ready. That's about when we checked in. First they said it wasn't ready, then as we were leaving the lounge (club), the concierge ran and told us it was ready. (They had taken my cell # and were going to call me.)

If it's not, and you want to swim or go to a park. Down by the pool, there are small lockers for rent. They take 4 quarters for 1 day and give you a key. It can hold camera's, etc. You can check your larger luggage. I don't know if it would hold a laptop, maybe??? There is also a large bathroom with a changing area and showers. Plenty of towels by the pool.
