akl vs wl transportation

Can anyone tell me what the transportation islike at these 2 resorts, especially to Epcot. Which one is quicker?

AKL and WL are both a bit far out when it comes to getting to parks (aside from AK for AKL and MK and WL) but i'd say AKL would be a bit closer to Epcot and a quicker ride. Getting to MK would take a while from AKL so keep that in mind. You can take a boat from WL to MK which is nice as well as a quick bus ride but the ride to AK is quite long.

AKL Bus times to Epcot were on average 12 minutes. We stayed during value season so if traffic is heavier during regular season times may be longer. AKL is roughly 6.5 miles from EPCOT. WL is about 4.1 miles so in theory it should be a shorter ride.

I was nervous about a stay at AKL but the transportation worked out fine.

We have always had good bus transportation at AKL. They don't share with any other resort and only have one stop so that helps. I think WL shares with other resorts?

WL shares a bus with VWL and FW, AKL has its own bus. When AKV are built it will share a bus with AKL.

for all of WDW resorts the difference between the resort with the fastest bus times and the slowest wait times is 8 min. Don't think you are going to beat the system by booking a hotel with faster buses, as on average there is not a statistical difference.

The exception to this rule is if you only ever wanna goto MK then stay at a monorail resort.
