AKL vs POLY

The Poly is my favorite resort.

But... "location, location, location" has been replaced with "construction, construction, construction."

It sounds like there will be major DVC construction going on at the Poly later this year and in 2014. I was there once when they were redoing the main lobby and longhouses. It definitely took away from the experience. You pay a lot of money to get tricked that you are on an island. That trick gets harder when you are surrounded by brown walls and the sounds of construction.

We were planning on staying at the Poly next May and switched to the Y&BC.

I did read that there was construction being done. That definitely would put a damper on our first big trip I am definitely going to look into that because I do not want to pay so much for that! We will have to switch to CR if anything lol

I am super duper excited about this trip. And I am happy that the bus doesn't go to other resorts.


What (except the obvious 0nes) would say the perks are for staying AKL CL versus a standard room?

One can book the Sunrise Safari only if staying AKL CL. Standard CL comes with an Arusha savanna view.

If this was a football game the score would read Poly 48 and AKL 0.That would be halftime.No offense to the AKL but the Poly is second to none.

I actually caught on to that fairly quickly! Which makes it so much more exciting to experience it!
