Disneys website says that Jambo house has some villas on the 5th and 6th floor, standard or savanna view. True? I was udner the assumption that these were concierge rooms. Any difference in pricing from Kidani?

Back in the old days before DVC at Jambo House, the 5th and 6th floors were Concierge level for the hotel. Now the concierge level for the hotel is the 4th floor. The 6th floor is DVC Concierge (five two bedroom lockoffs - three savanna, two pool) and 5th floor is all DVC villas. These are renovated hotel rooms, so there isn't a separate tub and shower.

:) Those are the DVC villas that you rent with points. The conceirge is located there and also the value DVC villas. Points wise there is no difference and you can pick Kidani or Jambo based on what accomodations you want. Value DVC studios are not at Kidani, nor is conceirge, but that is really the only difference--and of course food options are different.

True. We just rented points and are in a Jambo House studio, standard view. I believe from what I have read that the 6th floor is all concierge? Don't quote me on that, but I am pretty sure. 5th floor is also DVC or villa rooms.

As far as point cost, I would have been charged the same amount for a Kidani standard studio as Jambo, but I don't know point cost or difference for the others.

They are priced out on the Disney website, can you just pay for them too without going through the whole renting points thing? Thank you all for your information!

I'm a bit confused. How do you know if you have a value room?

I tried to book a 1bdrm club level villa today but of course all was taken. I asked for a 2bdrm club level villa and it was all taken.

So then I went with a 1bdrm villa savannah view. I did not specify if I wanted Jambo or Kidani.

The lady just said she had a 1bdrm villa savannah view at Jambo available so I booked it.

So I'm reading up and I see some threads talk about value villas and some threads mentioning that there is a possibility of getting a parking lot view. :confused3

So is there a chance I will get a parking lot view even tho my confirmation says savannah view. And how do I know if it's a value villa?

:confused3

If you booked a savanna view, you didn't book a Value villa. Those require fewer points. Those villas are only located in Jambo House and might be savanna view, pool view or parking lot view. You can't request a view for these because of the bargain and there are not that many of them. They are smaller than the standard and savanna villas by three feet (in depth from the door). The Value villas are a separate booking category. The Value one bedroom only sleeps four, the two bedroom only eight. These villas do not have the sleeper chair in the living room. So you don't get the extra occupancy.

Like I said earlier, there are only five two bedroom lockoffs on the Concierge floor and they right away at 11 months out to members to own at AKV. Most people booking the 6th floor call as soon as Member Services opens for the day. So if you don't call at 9AM ET, you probably won't get the 6th floor.

Thank you so much.

Maybe next year I'll get lucky and get the 6th floor. :wizard:

This is where I'm confused. Are both Jambo and Kidani DVC-only? If so, why is that not mentioned on the Disney website? (ETA: My apologies. I see it on the "Magic your way" page but not on the resort info page.) If you can/need to rent from DVC members, is it still eligible for the Magic Your Way package?

We were hoping to stay in a 1BR villa, savannah view. Does this not apply to us since we are not DVC members? I'd appreciate some help. Thanks.

Kidani Village is all DVC villas. Like I posted previously on this thread, only the fifth and sixth floors of Jambo House are DVC (meaning villas). The other floors have standard hotel rooms and hotel suites. Suites are not villas. You can book the villas for cash directly from Disney if they are available.

If a member makes a reservation for you using their points, you cannot get the MYW package. You can't get any packages. You can purchase the dining plan (CS, standard and deluxe, but not the premium or platinum plans).
