AKL villas and particular views...

I have stayed at Jambo House once, in a savanah view studio...loved it. We had giraffes outside every morning. Okay, fast forward to today. I just changed a two night stay from BWV to AKL..one bedroom savannah view. My dd, 17, loves giraffes..it borders on the crazed in fact. I didn't request any special 'view' the first time we stayed there...just got lucky I guess. Dd saw the photos from that stay (a solo trip..no family) and now is looking forward to seeing giraffes outside her bedroom....aarggh.
Is there anything definative that I can 'request' that might give us a better shot at giraffes?? Thanks a ton.

All savannas save one have giraffes. The one that doesn't is the Pembe Savanna, the smaller one to the NW/N of Kidani. Thus if you reserved at Kidani request Sunset Savanna view (which has about 80% of the savanna view rooms there).

We're at AKL..no room for us at Kidani... Looks like we'll just hope for the best and be happy wherever they stick us.

We were just at AKL in a savannah view room. We saw no giraffes from our balcony. We were overlooking the Arusha savannah, across from the lobby. We did see giraffes over by the pool area, and several giraffes in the Sunset savannah. The rooms across the hall from us that overlooked the Sunset savannah had great animal views. There was a watering hole, and lots of animals around it.
