AKL value studio?

What's the difference between the value and the regular studios at Jambo house? What area of the resort is this going to put me in? What requests should I put into my online check-in? Meaning, if the studios are already close to the lobby, I would not need to waste one of my 2 requests on that. Thanks!

The Value studios are smaller. There are fewer of them. You kind of get what you get.

The value studios are about three feet shorter in depth than the other studios. They might be savanna, pool or parking lot view. You get what you get.

The parking lot view is just a vegetation garden view. We'be had it once, and it was not bad.

I don't believe that's accurate. Pool views are to the right when you get off the elevator, while savanna and parking lot views are to the left. Savanna will be on the right side of that hallway, while parking lot view rooms will be on the left.

All the value studios are very close to the lobby. The savannah view studios overlook the Sunset Savannah where the lookout is right off the lobby.

Value are my favorite, for the way they are layed out and their location, but impossible for me to get anymore, as I do not own AKV. Someone, or many someones, snatch them up at 8am 11 months out. I often wonder if they are being rented, or what.
Anyway, here is a floorplan from ParkInfo2Go. The value rooms are at the bottom of the picture, on the Ostrich Trail and Giraffe Trail.
There are 10 1 bedroom/studio lockoffs, and 8 dedicated studios, so scarce as hen's teeth and a miracle that you got one. There are so few, they book like lightening. You just need to decide if you want pool view or not, that is the only possible request. But you get what you get. Pool view has an elevator, so quick down to pool and Mara and activites, etc, and stairs down for quick exit to buses. Other side is Sunset Savanna, and a great deal at value point prices. The lodge is SO BEAUTIFUL, they are all good. Enjoy your trip.

When I am booking one of the values, which I love, I always book at 8 am 11 months out. Even then the first day is sometimes taken.

We always book a value at 11 months and then decide if we want to change at 7 months. Last visit, we booked 2 value studios, stayed in 1 and had friends stay in the other. Right now, we have one booked for March 2017 for 8 days.

yes we did! value studio booked for April 17-24th. got it at 11month mark

we book on sat, renting points wish us luck! we have stayed in a value studio december 2010 and it was great had a savannah view room

We have only stayed in value once. It was near the lobby with an obstructive pool view. It also was extremely noisy. Love the low points but for us, not worth it due to the noise.
