We stayed in a 1 bedroom value this past December. It was me, DH, DD5 and DD 19mos. I thought the room size was fine for us, but by the time the kids are tweeners it may be too small.
We spent a fair amount of time in the room (kids were early to bed, but early to rise). I think the beautiful furniture in AKV is large and so it makes the room seem even smaller. With the sofa bed pulled out and a pack n play set up-the living room was completely full.
The bathroom actually seemed too large...like wasted space (but it probably needed to be that way to work within the existing footprint of the old rooms).Or maybe it is because I live in an old house with small bathrooms.
The bedroom felt filled by the king bed. But none of this bothered us. I think with 2 younger kids, the value room is a great fit. Plus, let's keep in perspective, this value 1 bedroom is still bigger than a regular hotel room!
Here are a few pics I dug up. For some reason my eldest pops up a a few of them.
