AKL v CBR

I have longed to stay at AKL..i have a few questions I would love some help with

When staying at AKL, how is it getting around in there? Is it huge? Is it easy to get to buses and navigate or is it more walkign?
DH wants to go back to CBR cause we had a preferred room last time and we were right on top of the buses.
Do all rooms have a balcony? That is my most fave thing about going deluxe, I would love to go sit on my balcony in the mornign while they slept and enjoy the view. Thinking of doing pool view.

CBR also had a ton of pool activities for the kids which they loved. Does AKL do pool activities and all that?

So, theres my dilema...should we go back to CBR, or jump in and go for AKL. Why do you love AKL?? Help me push DH towards lol!!

In nutshell - YES. All those things you love at CBR can be found at AKL. There are pool activities, balconies and the bus stop is in the front of the lobby for everyone. They will make another pick up over at the Kidani Village.

If you loved CBR then you will absolutely LOVE AKL. One thing to note is there are inside hallways, which is why you have your own balcony. While there is alot of walking, it's mostly all indoors, and I found CBR to be very spaced out so I'm sure you will be fine. AKL is a fabulous resort. If you have the opportunity to stay Deluxe I would take it

Go to AKL and don't look back!!! It's so worth it.
It's the most inexpensive deluxe resort out there. Maybe because people don't want to stay that far away from "the parks".
We rent a car and everything is 10 minutes away or less.
It's the most peaceful resort on property and least populated which my family loves.
CBR is nice but AKL is on a whole different level.
Fun activities for the kids. My DS5 loved playing pool basketball last year when we went.

For Mom and Dad...the pool bar is awesome!!

To sum it up....we love AKL and will have a pool view for 7 days next month. Done Savannah View the past 5 trips to AKL but wanted to switch it up a bit.

Go big or go home....good luck!!

We've stayed at both CBR and AKL and while we loved CBR, AKL can't be beat for the cost, especially being a deluxe resort . We've had both a savanna view and pool view, which we liked equally. Our pool view room was very conveniently located to the lobby, gift shop, and the elevator going down to the pool and Mara. CBR is a great resort, but I don't think you would regret AKL as it also has a lot to offer. There are plenty of animal viewing areas around the resort, great TS restaurants, and the gift shop has a lot of unique merchandise. Good luck deciding, but I'm sure you'll have a great trip no matter which resort you choose .

I would choose AKL, 100%!!!! It is a great hotel. It has all of the amenities of the CBR and much more! Unlike moderates, AKL has all interior corridors. CBR is much more spread out. AKL is basically one building. If you don't want to walk that much you can always request (not guaranteed) a room close to an elevator or on the lobby floor. We have stayed at AKL many time and love it! They have great restaurants (Boma, Jiko, Sanaa, and Mara(CS)). Boma has a great dinner buffet! If you are able to stay at a deluxe then go for it!

AKL is my happy place! Stayed at Savannah, Pool and Standard rooms and had great times each time. Next trip we are going budget and staying at a value . Wish I was going back to AKL - so enjoy my friend. Make sure to spend time at the resort. The pool slides are super fun.
