AKL upgraded

We stayed at AKL for the first time last week. I had a pool view because that's where we really wanted to be by. We were upgraded to Savannah room. Before excepting it I asked if it was by pool or Mara because I really wanted the convience of that first. She put us in a room just across the hall from poolview.I have to say it is nice watching the animals from your balcony (if your close to activities). It was a nice surprise.

Lucky you, hope you enjoyed your trip! We have stayed both pool and Savannah, and both are great as any day at AKL is great in my book!!! Wish I was there now.

We are going back to AKL for our anniversary in November. We booked pool view. We have had both pool view and savanna rooms (never on an upgrade). Here's to hoping that an upgrade comes our way, but not expecting anything of course.

We've stayed in both pool and savanna view and while the savanna view is great for watching animals from your balcony, we loved our pool view just as much for the reasons you stated. We were very convenient to the pool and Mara and we loved it .

Whoo hooo! I love that pixie dust! I was upgraded too when I went (I was expecting standard view) and I remember sitting on my bed - gazing out the sliding glass door at some zebra and just thinking WOW!

I love AKL!

Ah yes, another successful "free upgrade to Savannah view" story. I love it. It's nice to see a free upgrade during non-value season. Congrats and hope you get another free upgrade in the future.
