The buses from the AKL take you directly to whichever park you are going to. None of the buses at the AKL take you to the TTC. To get to the MK from the AKL you would just get on the MK bus and it takes you directly from the AKL to the resort bus stop that is right outside the enterance to the MK.

The buses run about every 20mins from about 1hr before a parks stated opening time to about 2hrs after the parks closing time. So if a park is scheduled to open at 9am on a given day the resort bus to that park would start running at 8am.

Search for posts by Chip'n Dale Express. He is a bus driver at WDW and have posted some very detailed information about how the system works.

AK Lodge buses run approx every 15 minutes (give or take) directly to the following locations:

1.) Animal Kingdom Theme Park
2.) Blizzard Beach -> Disney-MGM Studios
3.) Epcot
4.) Magic Kingdom (Main Street USA)
5.) Downtown Disney:
AM: Typhoon Lagoon -> Marketplace -> Pleasure Island
PM: Marketplace -> Pleasure Island -> Typhoon Lagoon


From 7:00am - 8:00am, buses run to take folks to Early Entry as well as Character Breakfasts around property. Starting at 8:00, regular service theme park buses start operation. 8:30 is when Downtown Disney buses start running.
